I absolutely adore Hotel Casa Blanca. It’s a cute little boutique hotel lending itself well to local charm. The staff is amazing, super friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast time is relaxing and a great place to chat with other visitors. It’s also across the street from the Lake Chapala Society (LCS) which is a wonderful resource for all things Ajijic and the surrounding area. And there is an ATM located at the LCS. The hotel is walking distance to many great restaurants, shops, massage therapists, art galleries, the lake, as well as the town square where you can find wonderful coffee, great convos and local art. I’m sure to stay at Hotel Casa Blanca again and again.

First time traveler through some parts of interior Mexico. I have done several all-inclusive resorts (Playa/Cancun), but I must say the experience I had in Ajijic, Mexico topped them all. I booked a room for four nights at the Hotel Casa Blanca. It's a small 8 room hotel near Lake Chapala. The location of the hotel is great. Everything from Lake Chapala, which is the largest lake in Mexico, to various restaurants, bars and shops were all within a 5-10 minute walk. Starting with the staff greeting me as soon as I walked in. They makes you feel welcome and genuinely ensure you enjoy your stay. I had the pleasure of meeting Matt, the owner and he informed me the hotel was currently upgrading and doing some renovations (adding a bar with food options) that should be completed in the next couple of months. I am planning another trip back sometime this coming summer. I look forward to having a cocktail in the new bar. I highly recommend Hotel Casa Blanca! Again, this experience with the hotel and everything surrounding it topped any trip I've had to Mexico. Thanks Matt, to you and your staff for a wonderful experience!!!

Casa Blanca is my favorite hotel in Ajijic because it’s walking to distance to all the best parts of the town while also being in a really peaceful spot. And it’s gorgeous. Listening to the birds each morning, surrounded by plants and eating their little complimentary breakfast is the perfect start and then we walk 5 min to the plaza or boardwalk. Or 20 min to the mountain to hike. I found the best massage and nail salon near the hotel. It seems like this hotel is doing well under its new management, and I hope it stays that way so it’s always there when I come!

Our four-night stay at Hotel Casa Blanca in Ajijic was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere, vibe, and energy of the property made us feel instantly at home. Every corner of the hotel radiates charm and comfort, and the staff takes that feeling to an entirely higher level. From day one, Brenda made the reservation process effortless and welcoming. Alejandra went above and beyond—literally hunting down fresh lemons for me without hesitation. Jesús and Andrea greeted me with genuine warmth every single day, somehow anticipating my need for ice before I even asked. Their kindness wasn’t just service—it felt like care. It’s abundantly clear that the owner, Matt, has set a phenomenal tone. His leadership is reflected in every thoughtful detail and every team member who treats guests like family. We’re planning a move to the Lake Chapala area, and Casa Blanca has become our go-to stay as we continue our search for a new home. We’ll absolutely be back—and often. An unforgettable stay. Highly, highly recommended.

Great hotel and looking even better I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Casa Blanca. The staff and service are incredible. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The hotel courtyards were beautiful and relaxing with great views from the roof top. It was apparent that they want to give their guests the best possible experience. Additionally, the location is right in the middle of Ajijic and made getting around town an easy walk.

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel. The staff had wonderful communication prior to our arrival and stored our bags for us since we arrived early. When we returned to check in the friendly staff had already put our bags in our room. The rooms were nice but wifi is just okay. They had a good size fridge and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and soft. The water pressure is lacking, but there was hot water after you let the shower run between 5 and 10 minutes. The hotel is in a great location. Very close to the malecon and Ajijic Square. It is right across from the Lake Chapala Society which has been around since the 1960s. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
